MISTLETOE Recognized as National School-to-Watch!
Heather Armelino

Great news!  Mistletoe has recently been re-designated as a 2019 National School to Watch.  We are one of only 33 schools in California this year and about 400 in the nation to achieve this.  We are so proud of our students; Mistletoe is a wonderful place to learn and grow. This award is given to middle schools who consistently attain high levels of academic achievement (we’re among the top schools in the County) and create an atmosphere that is highly supportive and responsive to the unique challenges that middle schoolers face.

Our teachers will be presenting in Sacramento and in Washington, DC to share about our success with other schools.  As a K-8, our middle school builds upon the excellent foundation of our primary grades, allowing our students to transition into middle school with familiar supports and people in place.

Students have a myriad of opportunities to develop their interests and work together to solve problems innovatively.  We hold them to high expectations for both learning and character. Mistletoe is a family, and we will continue the work together to improve every year.  We can’t wait to see what’s ahead and are very grateful for the support of our families and the community!
